Addicted 2 Daily Deal Sites!

One of the things I post about most often is awesome deals from various Daily Deal Sites.  Since my discovery of Groupon, my favorite daily deal site that I'm definitely addicted to, it seems like daily deal sites just keep popping up all over the place.  So, I though I'd compose a round-up of all the daily deal sites I'm currently a member of.  Because there are quite a few, I don't always have time to post about all the really great deals when they come around.  Therefore, I'd recommend that you subscribe to these sites through the links below so that you can receive a daily email with the newest and greatest deals.  These sites are a great means to some really nice and inexpensive gifts as well as activities to do with friends and family or simply as a treat to yourself!  So, with that said, here's a round-up of daily deal sites with a brief description of how each site works:
.
.
Groupon negotiates huge discounts on popular local goods, services, and cultural events. Then they offer the deals to thousands of subscribers in a free daily email. The deals are activated only when a minimum number of people agree to buy, which means subscribers get a great deal, and the business gets a ton of new customers. Win-win!  Go here to sign up!

.
Living Social is another daily deal site that is very similar to Groupon. They offer daily local deals to help consumers try new things without breaking the bank while helping to support local businesses. Go here to sign up!

.
Lot18 is a rather unique daily deal site in that it specializes in wine and wine products. So, if you're a wine connoisseur and also love a good deal, you'll definitely want to check it out! Here's a description from their website:
.
Lot18 is a membership by invitation website for wine and epicurean products from coveted producers at attractive discounts. Members have access to some of the finest wines and specialty foods, made available in small quantities at extraordinarily low prices. Lot18 evokes the auction lots of old, where savvy consumers were able to bid on fantastic products at incredible values.
.
I can personally vouch for this company, too! When I made my first order, they were very quick and efficient about processing and shipping my order. Additionally, I've read many testimonials that they offer quality customer service, which is always a plus! To join Lot18 and get in on some of these amazing wine deals, head on over here to register for free.

Jasmere is another daily deal site that is rather unique. They seek out lesser-known specialty retailers that deserve national attention and negotiate to with them to offer exclusive discounts. And what's more, the daily deal gets even better the more people that place an order! So, when you place your order, you are not charged until the 24-hour sale is up (so, if more people place orders and the price continues to drop, you will be charged the lowest price that the item reaches after all orders are placed). Go here to sign up!
.

WineShopper

Gaggle of Chicks

offers daily deals on the best products and services for moms and their families delivered right to their inboxes. They are highly selective about the deals they feature, opting for vendors who have been recommended by their network of moms, not just who gives them the best deal. Their partners range from bakeries and beauty products to children's classes and mommy boot camps. They use a new social approach to buying. If enough moms sign up for a deal and become part of the Gaggle, it "hatches" and everyone receives the discount. The Gaggle of Chicks management team is a small group of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, parents-to-be and budding entrepreneurs who got together to try to make life better for moms. Go here to sign up!
.
Plum District

is deal-based commerce community that strives to make moms' lives easier and more enjoyable. The company taps into semi-volunteer groups of viral moms who are motivated as much by recognition and contribution as by saving money. While the deals are often aimed at busy moms, you don't need to be a mom to get in on the good deals on this site!  Go here to sign up!

.
Swirl

is a daily sample sale site that offers high-end clothing, accessories, and more at deeply discounted prices. These deals often sell out very quickly, so I would highly recommend signing up so that you don't miss out on an awesome deal. Go here to sign up!

.
In addition to the daily deal sites above, here are two other sites that I think are worth checking out if you haven't already:

Ebates

is a site that gives you cash-back on your online purchases (the % cash back differs for each retailer). How is this possible? Basically, retailers pay Ebates to refer customers to them, and Ebates then pays a portion of that profit to the shoppers themselves. It's a win-win-win! The only tricky thing is remembering to go through Ebates when you shop online... it took me a little while to develop the habit, but now I'm saving on practically every online purchase! Go here to sign up

.
ShopAtHome

works in the same way as Ebates - the company passes on a portion of their earnings from a referral to the shopper. Go here to sign up!
